Good News: From now on Americans can contribute on-line to Israeli Organizations
The American Philanthropic Fund “American Support for Israel” will enable transfer of donations to Israeli organizations on-line.
The American Fund “American Support for Israel” which works towards raising awareness regarding Israeli organizations today inaugurated a new initiative in which the Fund will enable American donors to donate on-line to thousands of Israeli organizations and to receive tax deductions in the USA for the donation.
The new initiative of the Fund is geared to supplement the activities of the P.E.F. and the Federations which enable donations to Israeli organizations through non-computerized channels such as checks, and thus enable tens of thousands of Americans to donate to Israeli organizations also through the internet. This makes the donation simple, fast and much more accessible. The donations can be made by credit card through the sites http://www.israeltoremet.org/ and http://www.israelgives.org/ where these donations will provide a tax credit in the USA granting the donor a tax deduction of up to 50% from the IRS for the donation.
Cooperation with the site “IsraelGives”, founded by Yonatan Ben Dor, was created to enable and encourage donations to Israel by Americans who regularly donate to Israeli organizations and from now on can do so not only by check but also by credit card in a secure internet site. Fundsunds such as the P.E.F. and the Federations provide a good solutions for donors who prefer to donate by checks, but these do not provide a response to “small” donors who wish to donate small sums on-line. This cooperation will enable every Israeli organization to fundraise from American donors and grant the donor a receipt that provides a tax deduction – something very essential to the American donor.
